We're looking for a technical IT assistant to help with setting up and tech support for an immersive multimedia experience for schools and a game festival. We need a conscientious worker, willing to get stuck in and help wherever is necessary, learn quickly into new areas, and able to offer solutions and problem-solve under pressure.
The immersive experience is already in development, but the game programmer is based in the UK. The biggest part of the job would be to learn from what the game programmer has already done and be able to support the project lead (Antwerp based) with setting the experience up and running it in line with the game programmers instructions, as well as generally helping out with the physical and technical setup on the day.
Work would be up to 30 hours divided into 1-3hr sessions, some online meetings, but mostly on-site at locations in central Antwerp.
Good for growing CVs in game design / immersive media / AI / AR. The pilot will lead to further funding rounds, award entries, and opportunities in the near future. The project will provide the successful contact with a reference and connections.
Previous experience with the following is a plus:
Ceiling projector / beamers
Remote server setup and management
Microsoft Kinect cameras
Augmented Reality
Unity game design
General technical setups for live events
Must speak both English and Dutch
The Bookspine Witch , an immersive multimedia game experience for schools and museums. The storyline of a cyberwitch seeking to control the world through stories will motivate the children to use their own story craft and media knowledge as a weapon against her, building their critical media literacy.
The immersive experience will blend digital interactive narratives, Augmented Reality, live-streamed performance and AI.
Genre:
Cyberpunk, solarpunk, science fiction - think Blade Runner mixed with the Matrix with a dark fairytale feel.

Fixed rate fee or €750 inc. VAT for approx 30 hours total of work @ €25 an hour.
