STUK is een bruisend kunstencentrum in hartje Leuven, gehuisvest in een bijzonder gebouw met meerdere podia, een cinema, kunstenaarsateliers en een grand café. Dit Huis voor Dans, Beeld en Geluid brengt een gelaagd, internationaal programma met aandacht voor gevestigde waarden, nieuwe stemmen en experiment. De programmatie wordt gevoed door een duurzame residentiewerking. Diversiteit en inclusie, duurzaamheid, fair practice en fair pay zijn gedeelde waarden en doelstellingen in de werking van STUK. Na een grondige verbouwing opent STUK in juni 2023 terug de deuren.

STUK is a buzzing arts center in Leuven, housed in a unique building with several venues, a cinema, artist workshops and a grand café. This House for Dance, Image & Sound offers a layered, international programme with room for household names, new voices and experiment. The programme is fed by a sustainably residency working. Diversity and inclusion, sustainability, fair practice and fair play are key values and goals in STUK's working. After an extensive renovation, STUK re-opens its doors on 8 June 2023.
Functieomschrijving
Binnenkort is het zover: STUK, Huis voor Dans, Beeld en Geluid in Leuven, maakt zich klaar voor Artefact. In de tentoonstelling en het festival, lopend van 8 t.e.m. 25 juni, staan hedendaagse kunst, actualiteit en maatschappelijke uitdagingen centraal. Onder de titel The Ecstatic Being focust Artefact in 2023 op het idee van extase en de impact daarvan op hoe we naar onszelf en de wereld rondom ons kijken.
Artefact bestaat uit een fantastische tentoonstelling, concertavonden, clubnights, lezingen, films en workshops. Het festival is ook het hoogtepunt voor de STUK-vrijwilligers die als onthaalmedewerker, suppoost, concertmedewerker, promotiemedewerker of hulp op recepties of in de keuken van dit broeiende festival-gebeuren een waar succes maken.

It’s almost time: STUK, House for Dance, Image and Sound in Leuven is preparing for Artefact. The exhibition and festival, which takes place from June 8th to June 25th, revolves around contemporary art, news and social challenges. Under the title The Ecstatic Being, in 2023 Artefact focuses on the concept of ecstasy and the impact on how we perceive ourselves and the world around us.
Artefact consists of a fantastic exhibition, concert and club nights, artist talks, films and workshops. The festival is therefore the main event for STUK volunteers who lend a hand at the reception, as an exhibition guard, during concerts or promo tours, or help out during parties and in the kitchen. That way, they make the festival a great success every year!
