Welcome to Sotheby's! As an assistant in our Modern, and Contemporary Art Department, you will play a pivotal role in our operational activities. You will provide administrative support, manage client interactions, and coordinate logistics, ensuring smooth auctions and excellent customer service.
Functieomschrijving
- Administrative and logistical responsible across various multiple departments, mainly in Impressionist, Modern, Contemporary and Tribal Art department.
-Monitor negotiations and manage contracts, utilizing CRM, client system management tools and SAP input.
-Coordinate the entire shipping process from start to finish, including requesting quotes, conducting condition checks, and managing client communication and follow-up. (Outgoing and incoming lots)
-Communication with suppliers, transport companies, and sale location abroad.
-Assume responsibility for inventory management and conduct regular stock checks in line with global company policies.
-Arrange photography sessions and coordinate the restoration of artworks as needed.
-Serve as a liaison with authentication committees.
- Manage private sales and selling exhibitions, including compliance checks, contract management, and collaboration with colleagues abroad on revenue structures and calculations.
- Co-organize exhibitions, events, and social media promotion initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Wine and Spirits Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for wine clients, handling estimate inquiries, coordinating shipments, proactively reaching out to clients to increase revenue opportunities.
Profiel
• Minimum bachelor's degree.
• Discretion and good communication skills.
• Fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
• Knowledge of the art world is a plus.
• Team spirit, organizational skills, and proficiency in software (Outlook, Word, ...).
