Miet Warlop
Miet Warlop is a visual artist and performer (bilingual Dutch, English) working mainly in performance, sculpture and sound.
Her work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions in theatres, institutions and galleries.
Functieomschrijving
Under the responsibility of the artist and her studio manager, his/her mission will consist mainly in providing aid in the production of new works as well as finding high-level technical solutions to create new artworks for a solo exhibition (in 2020). Also he/she will manage the inventory and storage of works in the studio, archive the iconographic and media documents and provide technical documents relating to projects.
Iconographic, literary, political and social research on various subjects may also be considered.
Time required: part-time.
The person must be equipped with a laptop computer.
Profiel
- Fluent English (written & spoken)
- French and/or Dutch is a plus
- Knowledge of material and craft is a must
- Knowledge of programs word / excel / indesign / photoshop
- Ability to draw 2D/3D technical drawings would be a plus
- Good research skills (libraries, online, academic resources)
- Interest in contemporary art
- Rigour and autonomy
